📋 Description

• Oversee and manage the Americas region’s network strategy, design, operation, and improvement of corporate and cloud networks • Manage a team of network engineers in the Americas region • Lead the design, management, upgrades, implementation strategy, and stability of wireless and wired networks, firewalls, switches, and cloud environments • Maintain network security, including defining, reporting, and documenting network architecture and compliance • Partner with global network teams, server teams, IT organizations, vendors, and business stakeholders • Design and deliver network services supporting Sutherland business units and clients • Perform proactive scanning, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, hardware and software upgrades, and urgent response activities • Design and implement network security, LAN, WAN, and wireless architecture • Ensure network availability, reliability, security, and performance requirements are met • Research and define network hardware and software standards • Develop and update network policies, procedures, and processes • Standardize network configuration across Americas regions • Develop and manage network operations strategy • Develop, design, manage, and build networks for infrastructure projects and new or remodeled facilities • Develop and oversee the network technology roadmap for Americas regions • Collaborate with business units on strategic technical solutions • Provide Level 3 network support for the Americas region • Maintain network security with the Information Security and Network Security Architecture teams • Develop and maintain network documentation • Support budgeting, forecast planning, and special project ROI models with the VP of Global Network Services • Participate in IT change control and communicate planned or unplanned changes, maintenance windows, and outages • Monitor current technologies, network compliance requirements, standards, and industry trends

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field • Master’s degree preferred in Computer Science, Business Management, or related field • Minimum of five (5) years managing a large, complex enterprise network • Experience leading large technical projects • Demonstrated oral and written communication ability with team members and business leaders • Strong understanding of network routing, switching, wireless, firewalls, and SDWAN technologies • Experience with Cisco, Zscaler, Citrix, Palo Alto, and F5 • CCNA or CCNP certification, active or expired, and verifiable network project experience are highly desirable • 5–10 years of active network leadership experience highly desirable • Experience with software-defined networks and cloud environments is a plus • Certifications in software-defined networking and cloud environments desired • Experience with cloud-based telecom systems/technologies • Experience managing and mentoring network engineers • Experience architecting and designing large-scale networks • Experience managing and maintaining Cisco routers, switches, load balancers, and firewalls • Experience with enterprise wireless networking technologies such as 802.11x • Ability to manage internal and external clients in addressing escalations and client concerns • Ability to be on call as needed • Ability to accommodate intermittent travel
