📋 Description

• Serve as a payroll subject matter expert for North America within the People Services team • Process multiple US and Canada payrolls through an outsourced, fully managed payroll provider • Ensure payroll is processed accurately, on time, and in compliance with regulations and company policy • Build and maintain relationships with HR, Finance, and Plant administrators • Prepare and maintain accurate payroll transaction records and transfer data to the third-party provider • Check provider payroll outputs and verify data changes • Review and approve payroll, disbursements, and garnishments • Analyze pre-payroll reports for variances, errors, and anomalies • Verify compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws • Maintain and review payroll process guides • Drive continuous improvement with HR, finance, and C&B stakeholders • Facilitate audits and provide documentation to auditors • Prepare reports and summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions, leave, disability, and nontaxable wages • Assist Finance with balancing payroll accounts and resolving General Ledger reporting queries • Respond to employee data requests within SLA timelines • Maintain confidentiality and comply with data protection laws • Maintain professional and technical knowledge through workshops, publications, networks, and professional societies

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Human Resources, or related • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) Certificate OR FPC • Three to five years of related experience required • Knowledge of the payroll function including preparation, balancing, internal control, and payroll taxes • Experience processing payrolls using Workday preferred • Experience processing payroll via a 3rd party provider • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage conflicting demands while meeting strict deadlines • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Ability to liaise across the organization and maintain effective working relationships • Advocate for identifying and delivering continuous improvement • Comfortable working remotely as part of a global team • Workday HR System experience preferred • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
