📋 Description

• Coordinate and process all aspects of payroll, including tax levies, garnishments, taxation, deductions, and special pay • Validate pay entries and conduct audits during each payroll cycle • Review audit reports to identify and correct accuracy issues before processing • Ensure compliance with Federal, State, and Local payroll regulations • Obtain appropriate approvals and process off-cycle payments • Analyze and resolve payroll issues, questions, and tickets • Support peers and internal teams with advanced payroll and time-and-attendance system knowledge • Serve as the first point of contact for associates, managers, and timekeepers regarding payroll, time, calculations, and deductions • Support accurate payroll reporting and analysis • Enter historical corrections into the time-and-attendance system • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives • Act as a payroll subject matter expert and resource • Provide training, mentorship, and instruction to Payroll Specialists • Support payroll service and operations, payroll audits and analysis, and project-related initiatives

🎯 Requirements

• 1 year of relevant payroll processing experience (required) • Previous experience using Microsoft Excel or a similar spreadsheet application for data analysis, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP (required) • Bachelor’s degree (preferred) • 2+ years of relevant payroll processing experience (preferred) • Knowledge of payroll processing and procedures • Knowledge of payroll accounting and its impact on the general ledger, productivity, and budgeting • Microsoft Office/Office 365 proficiency • Data analysis skills • Communication skills • Customer service skills • Collaboration skills • Problem-solving and critical-thinking skills • Confidentiality, accuracy, and timeliness • Coaching/training skills • Ability to work flexible hours to meet deadlines
