📋 Description

• Lead development projects from design through delivery • Provide day-to-day technical leadership, mentoring, and escalation support • Conduct code reviews and enforce coding standards • Assign development tasks and guide implementation approaches • Troubleshoot complex technical challenges, production issues, and performance bottlenecks • Maintain, enhance, and debug VB.NET applications while driving C# modernization • Lead refactoring efforts to reduce technical debt • Participate in application design, system architecture, and technical decision-making • Collaborate with QA, Business Analysts, Operations, and cross-functional teams • Develop and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and database structures • Analyze and resolve database performance issues • Design, implement, and support RESTful API and service-based integrations • Ensure application error handling, logging, and monitoring • Support release planning, deployment readiness, and post-release validation • Evaluate systems and recommend improvements to technology, tools, and processes

🎯 Requirements

• 7+ years of professional software development experience in an enterprise or production environment • Strong expertise in C# • Very strong working knowledge of VB.NET and legacy system support • Advanced SQL development experience, including complex queries, stored procedures, indexing strategies, and performance tuning • Hands-on experience with Git-based source control and Azure DevOps or TFS • Experience mentoring developers and guiding technical growth • Ability to lead technical discussions and make sound engineering decisions • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail and quality • Excellent communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders • Ability to work independently and contribute within a team environment • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience • U.S. citizenship required due to federal background check and FISMA requirements • Experience with RESTful APIs preferred • Familiarity with Microsoft Azure or other cloud platforms preferred • Exposure to Agile or hybrid methodologies preferred • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated builds, and deployment processes preferred • Understanding of secure coding practices and compliance considerations preferred
