β’ Lead accurate, timely, and compliant payroll operations for a complex, multi-state workforce β’ Manage end-to-end payroll processing β’ Prepare, reconcile, validate, and import payroll data from multiple systems and sources β’ Manage piece-rate pay, minimum wage guarantees, overtime, and other earnings calculations β’ Perform pre- and post-payroll audits and resolve discrepancies β’ Research payroll issues, identify root causes, and implement corrections β’ Maintain payroll controls, reconciliations, documentation, and standard operating procedures β’ Serve as the payroll subject-matter expert for ADP Workforce Now β’ Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll and wage-and-hour requirements β’ Maintain payroll records and support audits and information requests β’ Lead, coach, and develop the payroll team β’ Establish expectations and accountability, build cross-training, and document processes β’ Partner with HR, Finance, Operations, and field leadership to resolve issues and improve processes β’ Respond to employee payroll concerns β’ Identify opportunities to improve payroll efficiency, accuracy, and controls
β’ 5+ years of progressive payroll experience, including complex payroll processing β’ 2+ years of payroll leadership, supervisory, or management experience β’ Strong hands-on experience with ADP Workforce Now, including payroll processing, imports, reporting, and troubleshooting β’ Experience managing multi-state payroll β’ Strong knowledge of federal and state wage-and-hour requirements, including overtime and minimum wage compliance β’ Advanced Excel skills with experience reconciling, validating, and analyzing large datasets β’ Experience importing payroll data from multiple systems or external data sources β’ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail β’ Demonstrated ability to establish controls and independently verify payroll accuracy β’ Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills β’ Preferred: experience with piece-rate, production-based, incentive-based, or other nontraditional compensation structures β’ Preferred: experience processing payroll for geographically dispersed or field-based employees β’ Preferred: experience with California payroll and wage-and-hour requirements β’ Preferred: experience managing high-volume payroll operations
