📋 Description

• Review current QA processes for internal Mac tooling and identify gaps and missing validation steps • Audit packaging, deployment, installation, and management of PKGs across the managed Mac fleet • Flag deployment risks, brittleness, and rollback gaps • Evaluate privacy permissions, PPPC profiles, and TCC prompts for video conferencing and student monitoring tools • Pressure-test the student experience during deployment, updates, and failures on managed Macs • Identify user-experience issues that appear broken or unprofessional • Provide direct, practical feedback to engineering and IT teams • Write clear findings that technical teams can act on • Recommend tooling, patterns, and standards for repeatable QA and fleet management as the organization grows

🎯 Requirements

• Hands-on experience in managed Mac environments using Jamf, Kandji, Mosyle, Intune, or similar MDM systems • Experience with managed PKG installation, signing and notarization, and Mac software packaging for controlled rollout • Fluency configuring privacy permissions, deploying PPPC profiles, and troubleshooting TCC issues on managed Macs • Experience shipping, deploying, or QAing software similar to Zoom, GoGuardian, Jamf School, Classroom, or comparable video conferencing and student monitoring tools • Strong understanding of mature QA processes and ability to identify process gaps quickly • Ability to write actionable findings for engineering teams and communicate productively with technical stakeholders • Fully remote work setup • 10 to 20 hours per week • Short-term consulting engagement, initially extendable based on findings and fit • Bonus: ACSP, ACMT, or Apple Deployment and Management certifications • Bonus: Comfort with shell, Python, or Swift for automating MDM and deployment tasks • Bonus: Understanding of student data privacy, FERPA, and compliance in student device management
