📋 Description

• Contribute hands-on to code, architecture, and technical design while leading the team, targeting a 40/60 individual-contributor/management split • Design and implement CI/CD, automated testing, code review, feature flagging, and static code analysis practices • Champion responsible adoption of AI-assisted development • Build and develop a high-performing engineering team through coaching, feedback, and career development • Implement clear expectations, ceremonies, and standards • Foster psychological safety, collaboration, and continuous learning • Mentor engineers toward sustainable end-to-end system ownership • Support delivery from conception through production support while meeting quarterly deadlines • Build scalable, maintainable software • Partner with Product and Design to translate business goals into technical plans • Communicate across technical and non-technical audiences and manage dependencies • Drive measurable improvements in engineering KPIs • Report to the VP Engineering • Initially manage up to 8 engineers and help establish the first layer of engineering management

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience • 3+ years of people management experience leading engineering teams • Experience operating with real CI/CD, automated testing, and short release cycles • Demonstrated results in C# .NET, React, cloud native systems design, and/or modern CI/CD tool chains / Platform Engineering • Hands-on experience using AI-assisted development tools • Track record of driving process improvements in CI/CD, testing, quality assurance, or other SDLC process toolchains • Ability to balance strategic thinking with tactical execution • Experience developing and coaching engineers • Clear and empathetic communication across diverse stakeholders • Sound judgment balancing scope, quality, speed, and long-term technical health • Collaborative, inclusive leadership that creates psychological safety • Ownership and accountability for individual and team outcomes
