📋 Description

• Develop and maintain public APIs in the API Product suite • Design backend APIs with a deep understanding of customer experience and performance • Build reliable and scalable software used by TRM customers • Work on complex engineering problems and contribute to technical details and operational processes • Collaborate with stakeholders to transform functional visions into roadmaps with clear outcomes • Support internal business units through shared engineering services and functionalities • Develop cross-functional relationships with stakeholders across the organization • Lead projects as a technical anchor within weekly sprints • Deliver impactful features to internal customers and the company • Participate in an on-call rotation approximately one week every 15 weeks • Triage and answer PagerDuty alerts and customer support requests during on-call periods • Participate in case studies, AI skills assessments, leadership-principles interviews, and reference checks as part of the hiring process

🎯 Requirements

• Backend engineering experience building and operating scalable production-grade services using Node.js, Java, Python, Go, or similar • Proficiency in modern frontend development, including React • Experience building interactive, design-heavy, high-performance user interfaces • Experience designing and building scalable systems, web applications, APIs, and services • Understanding of relational databases such as Postgres and analytical databases • Experience understanding customer pain points and translating them into technical and product requirements • Ability to structure problems and identify critical issues for prioritization • Ability to communicate complex ideas effectively to technical and non-technical audiences, verbally and in writing • Experience working collaboratively in cross-functional environments • Familiarity with React and TypeScript • Familiarity with Node.js/TypeScript, Python, Go, service-oriented architectures, and distributed systems • Familiarity with Postgres, BigQuery, GraphQL, data modeling, and performance optimization • Familiarity with GCP and CI/CD • AI fluency and demonstrated ability to apply AI to workflows, problem-solving, output quality, speed, and leverage • Willingness and ability to participate in an on-call rotation • Ability to maintain at least 6 hours of overlap with PST, from 8 am to 2 pm PST
