📋 Description

• Build protocols and features to meet functional and non-functional requirements • Ship new trading protocol capabilities on the Aeron-based platform • Migrate remaining workflows onto the new service stack • Design messaging patterns connecting the new stack to the rest of the platform • Improve platform scalability, performance, and test coverage • Ensure service reliability and availability • Address production issues and improve operational processes • Optimize systems for low latency and high throughput • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute projects

🎯 Requirements

• U.S.-based and able to work in the EST time zone • 7+ years of software engineering experience, preferably in capital markets or trading workflows • Experience in financial services, trade workflows, or electronic trading systems • Proficiency in JVM-based languages, with Scala preferred • Ability to write clean and maintainable code • Experience designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable distributed systems • Familiarity with TCP/IP, FIX, Kafka, or Aeron • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and Docker • Ability to effectively use AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code • Understanding of low-latency, high-throughput systems • Familiarity with SDLC methodologies, agile practices, and CI/CD pipelines • Commitment to delivering high-quality solutions
