• Lead a subset of engineers and technicians responsible for protective relay settings and coordination studies • Review project drawings, system protection settings, and calculations • Lead short-circuit and symmetrical component analyses • Design and optimize relay settings and coordination strategies for critical infrastructure • Develop protection schemes for transmission, distribution, generation, and renewable energy projects • Lead engineering activities during proposal, design, and construction stages • Manage project scope, change orders, and schedules • Direct and coordinate multiple disciplines and project management teams • Maintain quality and responsiveness to client requirements • Oversee team members' design activities • Provide strategic direction and technical services oversight • Coach, train, and develop technical staff • Facilitate weekly or bi-weekly team meetings and manage team resource planning • Conduct performance reviews and support professional development • Partner with Sales and engineers to promote revenue growth and expand services • Support proposal development and review • Maintain positive client relationships
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required from ABET accredited university or equivalent • 6+ years of experience in the engineering field preferred • Professional Engineer (PE) registration, or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire, preferred • Proven experience in system modeling and fault analysis software (ASPEN, CAPE, ETAP, or EasyPower) • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access • Strong knowledge in system modeling, relay coordination studies, and protective relay settings for systems ranging from 12.47 kV to 345 kV • Experience applying protection system engineering practices in transmission line, bus, transformer, capacitor bank, reactor bank, feeder, generator, motor, or communication assisted protection schemes • Familiarity with NERC PRC standards for compliance • Must be permanently authorized to work in the US • Valid driver's license and ability to meet company driving standards • Must be able to travel 20% of the year • Must be analytical and self-motivated • Strong analytic and information management skills • Strong interpersonal skills • Ability to manage multiple projects with clear expectations and timeliness • Excellent presentation and verbal/written communication skills
