📋 Description

• Provide inbound and outbound phone support to payers, patients, caregivers, specialty pharmacies, site-of-care centers, specialty distributors, pharmacy compounders, and providers • Coordinate patient benefits, product orders, and appointment scheduling to facilitate the patient journey • Deliver services through the Patient Support Program on behalf of a manufacturer client • Coordinate resources, exchange information, and ensure appropriate support as a dedicated contact • Handle healthcare provider and patient interactions as an expert in benefit coordination and available support • Advocate for patients regarding eligibility, program enrollment, affordability support, and access to prescribed therapy • Establish relationships and maintain rapport with healthcare providers and patients • Provide ongoing program and patient information to healthcare providers • Navigate payer challenges and support prior authorization and appeals • Liaise with client contacts, Program Management, internal stakeholders, and healthcare providers • Maintain records according to applicable standards, regulations, SOPs, Call Guides, and program materials • Escalate complex cases and assess situations to obtain timely results • Provide customer service as a brand advocate and program representative • Communicate patient status, prescriber feedback, coordination challenges, and program effectiveness to Program Management • Maintain confidentiality, privacy, ethical conduct, and professional standards • Complete training and follow corporate policies, procedures, and SOPs • Perform additional tasks or projects as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• Associate or bachelor’s degree and 2 years of reimbursement/insurance, healthcare billing, physician office, health insurance processing preferred, or in lieu of a degree, a High School diploma or equivalent with 5 years of reimbursement/insurance, healthcare billing, physician office, health insurance processing • Call Center/HUB or customer service experience with progressive levels of responsibility within a service driven environment required • Excellent oral and written communication skills • Strong working knowledge of prior authorization and appeals required • Strong knowledge of medical and pharmacy insurance terminology and reimbursement/insurance, healthcare billing, physician office, health insurance processing or related benefit coordination experience • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills required • Attention to detail and committed follow through in communication with patients, providers, and internal/external stakeholders • Strong organizational skills for a fast-paced environment • Ability to adapt to change while maintaining Program standards • Strong customer service experience and skills • Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook • Prefer candidates who can type at least 35 words per minute with 97% accuracy • Flexibility to travel as needed preferred • Punctual and reliable with a strong attendance record • Successful completion of a background check and, depending on the position, a drug screen
