VibeIQ is an AI-powered platform for merchandising, design, and product assortment planning targeted at brands and retailers. It provides a suite of products — Plan (data-driven line planning, assortment building, financial tracking), Board (visual mood boards and creative collaboration), and Showcase (interactive digital selling for B2B buyers) — plus a Product Data Platform that serves as the system of record. The platform includes native AI agents, an agent authoring layer, automated workflows, generative design capabilities (concept generation, recoloring, restyling, campaign imagery), retail visualization, PLM integration, APIs/SDKs, and an app store. VibeIQ aims to optimize product assortments before production/buying to reduce time-to-market, lower costs, and increase full-price sell-through. It is used by large enterprise brands and emerging companies in retail and fashion.

📋 Description

• Design, build, and maintain core platform services and infrastructure powering search, file management, identity, authentication, and workspaces • Own major components and multi-month initiatives end-to-end, from technical design through deployment and monitoring • Build and maintain AWS infrastructure for reliability, scalability, and cost efficiency • Define and enforce service patterns, best practices, and engineering standards • Own and evolve security, authentication, monitoring, and observability systems • Steward platform SDKs, ensuring they are well-designed, documented, and maintainable • Design and build AI infrastructure, including MCP patterns, agent systems, token management, and throttling • Partner across teams to identify platform needs, reduce friction, and close gaps in shared capabilities • Contribute to technical strategy and build-vs-buy recommendations • Debug and resolve critical production issues across distributed systems • Mentor junior engineers, lead design reviews, and raise the technical bar

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in backend, platform, or infrastructure engineering • Deep, hands-on AWS experience, including Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, S3, OpenSearch, IAM, and related services • Experience designing and maintaining scalable, distributed backend systems • Node.js and TypeScript preferred • Strong understanding of security and authentication patterns in cloud-native environments • Experience with monitoring, observability, and operational tooling for production systems • Ability to own ambiguous technical problems, define requirements, and drive solutions independently • Comfort working across core infrastructure, identity systems, search, file services, and AI tooling • Strong debugging and problem-solving skills across distributed systems • Clear, effective technical writing for design documents, runbooks, and documentation • Excellent cross-functional communication skills • Comfort with ownership, fast iteration, and wearing multiple hats • AI/LLM infrastructure experience is a bonus • SDK design and stewardship experience is a bonus • OpenSearch or Elasticsearch at scale experience is a bonus • Familiarity with SaaS integrations such as PLM, DAM, PIM, or ERP systems is a bonus • Experience managing hosting costs and optimizing cloud spend is a bonus • Automated testing strategies and testable system design experience is a bonus • Exposure to Angular or React is a bonus • Contributions to developer experience initiatives are a bonus
