📋 Description

• Own the end state of Wagmo's insurance provider interface • Define a documented retirement path for legacy provider models and determine when dual-write paths should be removed • Design partner and carrier onboarding so new benefits administrators can be added through configuration rather than application builds • Configure file format, renewal cadence, group structure, and product eligibility instead of coding each integration • Run architecture review, hold decision rights, and maintain a dependable decision log • Define identity architecture across enterprise SSO tenants, the partner portal, and consumer authentication • Establish a documented, repeatable per-tenant onboarding process suitable for enterprise security diligence • Own architecture for AI systems supporting claims adjudication, customer support, and internal engineering tooling • Establish versioned prompts and strategies, promotion paths, appropriate controls, and measured cost per automated decision • Mentor squad tech leads and raise technical design standards without taking on people management • Set technical direction across insurance, claims, partner integration, and AI systems • Work hands-on in the codebase and unblock two squads without escalation

🎯 Requirements

• Experience holding a cross-cutting architectural decision touching several domains and driving it from ambiguity to a shipped, documented outcome • Track record of retiring and scaling systems, including experience with half-migrated codebases running two paths in parallel • Depth in Python and Django • Experience with relational data modeling • Experience with third-party integration at scale • Experience putting non-deterministic systems into production, including opinions on evaluation and versioning • Judgment to determine what not to build • Written and verbal clarity to advocate for technical decisions • Experience unblocking two squads without direct people management • Familiarity with Kubernetes and GCP is useful • Experience in insurance, benefits, payments, healthcare, or another regulated, integration-heavy domain is a strong plus
