📋 Description

• Serve as the primary architect and execution lead for platform changes to the Digital Credit Application • Lead migration of core credit application logic from a legacy monolith into scalable, cloud-native Java/Spring Boot microservices • Design and execute high-volume traffic migration strategies with zero disruption to live customers • Support bidirectional data and state synchronization with Salesforce integrations • Design and implement a modular adjudication layer for changeable credit rules and third-party data providers • Build and maintain versioned REST/gRPC APIs for Mobile, Web, and future AI Chat interfaces • Engineer backend infrastructure for dynamic routing and real-time A/B testing of application flows • Use AI tools across the development lifecycle to accelerate coding, refactoring, testing, and documentation • Partner with Data Science teams on data pipelines and backend schemas for LLM integration and real-time credit decisioning • Establish standards for CI/CD, OpenTelemetry observability, and automated contract testing • Mentor mid-level and senior engineers and promote high engineering standards, clean code, and AI-assisted productivity • Support a live production environment while migrating mission-critical services to a microservices-based backbone

🎯 Requirements

• 10+ years of engineering experience, specifically in backend architecture within Fintech, Lending, or Credit systems • Expert-level proficiency in Java 17/21, Spring Boot 3.x, and Spring Cloud • Significant experience extracting tightly coupled business logic from legacy backends into scalable cloud microservices on AWS • Experience building or implementing rules engines, such as Drools, Camunda, or custom JSON-logic • Deep experience with Kafka or RabbitMQ • Strict adherence to API contracts using OpenAPI/Swagger • Hands-on experience using AI coding assistants such as Cursor or Copilot • Strong analytical skills and capability in resolving complex, cross-functional problems • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to present complex technical concepts clearly to stakeholders • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field • Salesforce proficiency is a strong advantage
