📋 Description

• Provide technical and analytical work to develop, design, and/or support applications for research and clinical functions • Participate in the design and development of informatics solutions using software engineering expertise • Maintain, modify, or implement complex inter-related applications and solutions • Implement core XNAT functionality and oversee XNAT software releases • Identify and pursue opportunities to acquire, store, and deliver data more efficiently • Advise projects on data integration activities • Research and investigate new and improved data sources • Facilitate effective data-sharing • Develop, maintain, and revise data management practices and procedures • Provide scope and time estimates for data-related activities • Evaluate project data needs and advise on approaches and solutions • Develop and maintain data diagrams and models • Develop, review, and revise project code and other content to improve data performance • Deliver stable, well-tested XNAT releases on a predictable cadence • Reduce open XNAT defects and technical debt in core modules • Grow the platform’s capabilities • Serve as a technical point of contact for institutional partners integrating with or extending XNAT • Mentor junior software engineers and other technical staff and students • Create and perform unit tests • Work independently with minimal supervision

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or combination of education and/or experience may substitute for minimum education • 5 years of data-related work experience • PostgreSQL • Direct experience developing on or administering the XNAT platform, or a comparable medical imaging informatics/PACS-adjacent research platform (preferred) • Experience with DICOM standards and medical imaging data formats and workflows (preferred) • Experience owning or contributing significantly to release management for a production software platform, including versioning, CI/CD, regression testing, and rollout coordination (preferred) • Experience contributing to or maintaining an open-source project, including community code review and issue triage (preferred) • Experience writing test plans (preferred) • Knowledge of Linux server administration, including RHEL deployment environments (preferred)
