📋 Description

• Configure, calibrate and deploy digital twin simulation services for optimizing water and wastewater network operations • Solve open-ended water resources problems using optimization techniques and data analytics over sensor data and hydraulic models • Communicate and collaborate with engineers and decision makers to define problems, strategize solutions, and implement them • Develop and manage large datasets • Communicate data summaries and conclusions clearly and concisely, visually and verbally • Translate data analytics into language understood by engineers and data analysts in practitioner and research settings • Participate in Xylem Watermark volunteer activities

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil/Environmental/Chemical/Mechanical Engineering • Minimum of 3 years of experience in water, sewer or stormwater modelling • Hydraulic modeling software for drinking water networks (EPANET or similar) and/or stormwater networks (SWMM or similar) • Previous experience programming in software languages such as Python, R, C, MATLAB, etc. • Experience with modern data science workflows for data access and filtering, geospatial analysis, and model parameter estimation • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Self-motivated, resourceful, and eager to develop new skills • A creative mind and hands-on problem-solving abilities • Fluent in English • Knowledge of data management modeling tools • Working knowledge of Agile Methodology and Jira • Practical knowledge of modern data science methods for hydraulic and model development • Previous practical experience working in a water utility, organization, or setting
