📋 Description

• Provide engineering support to customers through troubleshooting and addressing design challenges • Lead product life cycle and roadmap design and implementation activities • Select and validate sensors, actuators and electronic components for system integration • Identify and drive product improvement initiatives • Develop new algorithms • Identify system or part obsolescence and pursue cost reduction • Develop, maintain and optimize technical and project processes using JIRA, Confluence, Word and other tools • Support on-site control system and locomotive commissioning at globally located rail yards • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain product quality and value • Provide engineering support for ZTR's environmental-impact products in the rail industry

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of experience supporting products as an Electrical Engineer • 2+ years of field service experience • A related degree in Electrical, Mechatronics, Control or Electronic • Proficient in PLCs, including Siemens and Rockwell • Strong technical writing and documentation skills • Experience in all phases of the development life cycle • Profound understanding of control algorithms and design practices • Knowledge of industrial communication protocols, including Profinet and RS-232 • Excellent written and oral communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences • Ability to travel 20%-25% and work in industrial environments • Willingness to learn and keep up to date with new technologies
