Description

• We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Manager of Security Operations to lead and grow our security operations, incident response and compliance reporting. This role will collaborate within IT, with the business and with third-party vendors. In this newly created position you will be responsible for managing security vendors (including our MSP), overseeing incident response, conducting security investigations, and ensuring compliance with established standards. You will also play a key role in assessing security vulnerabilities, recommending corrective actions, and driving data security. You will have the opportunity to build and grow our security operations through robust security solutions that support Apogee's growth and scientific breakthroughs while fostering a culture of excellence and innovation within our team.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science or a related field required • Extensive knowledge of security platforms, such as Sentinel One, Rapid7 (IDR and IVM), M365/Purview security Azure, and/or Okta, with hands-on experience in architecting and managing security operations and services • A minimum of 7 years of cybersecurity experience, focused on security operations, vulnerability and threat management • Minimum of 3 years managing security MSPs/vendors, with experience in growing a cyber defense operation and incident response program • Proven experience in leading successful MSP relationships, driving efficiency, business results, and high user satisfaction • Experience in a high-growth biotech or pharmaceutical company environment with a track record of building high-performing vendor relationships • Strong understanding of the unique challenges and requirements of security technology in the biotech industry, including data security, privacy, compliance, and scalability • Strong project management skills with high sense of urgency, ability to collaborate and influence effectively cross-functionally • Proven ability to effectively execute IT projects within designated program budgets, timelines, and compliance guidelines • Excellent communication skills with an ability to present to a variety of stakeholders and tailor message accordingly • Successfully exhibit Apogee's C.O.R.E. values: Caring, Original, Resilient and Egoless • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM or equivalent is a plus • Ability and willingness to travel appropriately 10 – 15%
