📋 Description

• Supports employee relations and works council activities across Germany. • Works closely with People Business Partners, managers, the Legal team, and the works council. • Advises on German co-determination requirements and builds a relationship of trust with the works council. • Leads and coordinates works council consultation and co-determination procedures under the German Works Constitution Act (BetrVG). • Develops processes in the areas of Employee Relations, labor relations, and works council matters. • Supports organizational changes, restructurings, and workforce initiatives involving works council participation. • Maintains legally compliant HR processes, records, documentation, and supporting evidence. • Collaborates with global stakeholders to ensure compliance with German labor relations regulations. • Implements and administers works council agreements. • Prepares and submits documentation relating to hires, promotions, transfers, organizational changes, personnel actions, and departures. • Works with internal and external legal counsel on employment law matters. • Advises managers and People Business Partners on employment law issues and prepares training materials and communications.

🎯 Requirements

• At least four years of experience managing works council matters and co-determination processes in Germany. • At least four years of experience in Human Resources, Employee Relations, labor relations, or a related field. • Experience with works council procedures relating to hiring, organizational changes, and the full employee lifecycle. • Business-fluent German and English. • Expertise in German employment law and the German Works Constitution Act (BetrVG). • Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Discretion when handling sensitive and confidential matters. • Sound judgment and strong problem-solving skills. • Strong organizational and project management skills. • Ability to balance legal requirements with business objectives. • Exceptional attention to detail and a process-oriented mindset. • This position requires a background check. • Access to information protected by U.S. export control laws may be subject to the appropriate authorization.
