Description

• Design, prototype, and productionize machine learning models to optimize procurement processes • Build and maintain data pipelines to support model training and inference • Collaborate with Data Engineers / Engineering Operations on ML infrastructure/operations • Define and evolve Data Science process and practices • Work with product managers and the VP Data to define a data science roadmap aligned with business priorities • Communicate data science work and results to leadership and cross-functional partners • Provide mentorship to junior data scientists • Fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement • Stay up-to-date (and keep the team up to date) on latest techniques and tools in ML & AI • Keep a startup mindset: ship early and collect feedback sooner than later • Set clear expectations and clearly communicate project statuses to stakeholders throughout the company

Requirements

• 6+ years experience in data science or related quantitative field • Strong expertise in machine learning, statistics, and data modeling • Proficiency (6+ years experience) in Python and SQL • Experience with AWS, Snowflake, dbt or similar cloud data stack • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • BS/MS in Computer Science, Statistics, Applied Math or related field
