Description

• Develop platform for voter engagement, build internal configuration tools for organizations, and create new features for people to take civic action • Be a go-to expert and leader on the engineering team • Develop key software engineering features, applications, and infrastructure • Collaborate across internal teams and with other software engineers • Share skills and experience through coaching and mentoring • Bring modern deployment best practices • Own projects to make it easy for customers to customize their platform • Refine features to help users connect with grassroots organizations • Optimize development processes

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience with Ruby/Ruby on Rails • Experience with JavaScript, React, TypeScript • Experience leading major feature builds and working with product teams • Experience mentoring other software engineers • Experience in effective cross-functional collaboration • Experience in writing and maintaining an automated test suite • Pluses: Experience with UI/UX, data collection and automation tools, applications powered by geospatial data, high traffic systems
