• Define and execute the artistic vision and style of the game. Direct via clear, constructive critiques • Collaborate with the Creative and Design directors to ensure art enhances the vision of the game • Lead and manage a small team of artists and animators, both in and out of the house • Supervise the production of all 2D and 3D game art assets, including but not limited to: character design, weapon design, environment, props, lighting, and VFX • Balance art goals against technical constraints • Own and maintain the Art Bible, style guides, etc. • Participate in the recruitment and selection process for new artists, assessing candidates' artistic skills
• 7+ years as a game artist and associate art director • Extensive experience with in-sourcing and out-sourcing art • Significant experience with Unreal Engine 4 and/or 5 · Must have shipped FPS games as a Lead Artist or Associate Art Director • Must have experience with realistic, real-world environments, objects, and people
• You like being on the ground floor of something new; feel excited about contributing to a company culture • Love learning new tools and technologies, and don’t mind teaching others • Good with wearing a few hats and getting your hands dirty – all Director positions are very hands-on (for now, we’re a small company) • Want to work from (almost) any where in the world - including your own home
