Description

• We are seeking to hire a Controller based remotely, with a preference for the Bay Area, CA. • The Controller will report directly to the President and is the key owner of daily accounting operations. This individual will be responsible for the financial statement close, internal and external reporting to investors, and upgrades to accounting and other financial systems.

Requirements

• BS in Accounting • Certified Public Accountant required • 7 years of experience; Big 4 public accounting experience a plus • Experience with revenue recognition rules (ASC 606) - specifically regarding connected devices or hardware with embedded software • Previous experience as a Senior Accounting Manager or Assistant Controller level • Experience with Quickbooks + Fishbowl, Carta, Hubspot, and Brex preferred • Experience in system implementation such as Netsuite or Salesforce • Experience in reporting and managing banking relationships • Demonstrated record of highest professional ethics; ability to work proactively with all levels of the organization; excellent verbal and written communication skills. • Experience working with an external accounting team and moving the function in house
