• Troubleshooting performance and reliability issues in our ruby and rails monolith • Instrumenting our codebases to emit the right telemetry for our observability stack (using opentelemetry libraries) • Coaching our engineering squads on effective implementation of monitoring and alerting • Maintaining our services estate across Heroku and AWS • Support with ad-hoc security and compliance tasks • Work closely with the rest of the Platform team to ensure stability and reliability of our estate • Proactively dive into support during user-facing outages and incidents
• You are passionate about making a positive difference in society by improving the financial health of our users. You align with our company values and engineering principles, which drive our ways of working and software delivery. • This is a position in our Platform team, we’re looking for someone who has experience of using Ruby on Rails, and has worked with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform on AWS. • As this is an SE4 position as described in our public progression framework we’re looking for someone who has at least 5 years technical industry experience, with 1-2 years in a platform or SRE role.
