Description

• The Orpheus team at Cloudflare works on enabling more reliable network connectivity for Cloudflare's products • Almost all Cloudflare products are powered by Orpheus technology • Key technical contributor to the network software infrastructure • Translate requirements into new capabilities on the platform • Partner with other teams to ensure optimal use of Cloudflare's edge network • Responsible for designing, documenting, writing code, and automating tests • Experience with Rust, Go, Linux networking, ClickHouse, PostgreSQL, Grafana, Kubernetes, and more • Lead with values of curiosity, empathy, and growth • Fast-paced work environment

Requirements

• Systems-level programming experience in Go, Rust, C, or C++ • Understanding of networking protocols in Layers 3 and 4 of the OSI Model • Knowledge of HTTP, TLS, and CDN networks • Experience in implementing secure and highly-available distributed systems • Strong debugging skills in complex systems • Strong collaboration and communication skills • Interest in HTTP networking, VPN technologies, and network performance monitoring • Bonus points for knowledge of TCP/IP, Internet routing, statistical-analysis techniques, control theory, building tools and APIs, monitoring, alerting, debugging large-scale systems, and participating in an on-call rotation
