Description
• Evaluate the quality of physician's reports • Ensure claims support physician's determinations • Read and apply policy guidelines and healthcare terminology • Provide strong customer service skills • Provide oversight to complex cases • Serve as an additional level of QA and clinical claims knowledge • Other duties and special projects as assigned • Maintain positive working environment • Supply and support own internet services for work from home position
Requirements
• Associate's Degree or Bachelor’s Degree preferred • RN preferred • 5+ years of claims experience preferred • Long Term Disability experience required • Business experience in healthcare and/or insurance setting preferred • Sense of urgency and meeting deadlines required • Self-motivated with a strong drive for performance excellence • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required • Proficiency in navigating computer programs • Attention to detail required • Exceptional communication skills • Ability to apply critical thinking • Manage time efficiently • Computer literacy and typing skills essential • Lifting, bending, traveling, etc. may be required • Long periods of sitting and computer work • Internet connection required for work from home position
