Description
• Write clean, scalable software following industry best practices • Become an expert in your domain area and be familiar with other domains • Stay on the leading edge of development best practices • Design and implement solutions in the cloud (AWS) • Mentor and inspire junior and mid-level engineers • Develop documentation and proposals for architectures and designs • Assist in planning and scheduling development work • Help plan technical execution balancing feature delivery, tech debt reduction, and maintainable & performant design
Requirements
• 4 year degree or equivalent experience • 5+ years of software development experience • Proficiency in Java, JavaScript, React • Experience with PostgreSQL, AWS services, Git, and Github • Ability to write clear, maintainable, extensible, and testable code • Experience in designing and implementing web or mobile applications with a microservice back end • Experience in building highly scalable and performant distributed systems • Ability to communicate and coordinate with engineering and product teams • Experience working in an Agile environment • Understanding of web protocols such as ReST, OAuth, etc. • Bonus if you have understanding of practices like SOLID, TDD • Bonus if you have experience in healthcare or regulated domains • Bonus if you have experience working for a remote company with employees in multiple states • Bonus if you have passion for mental health and expanding access to treatment
