📋 Description

• Install and commission advanced microscopy systems at customer sites • Perform preventive maintenance and system calibrations • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, vacuum, and software-related issues • Troubleshoot complex system failures and implement corrective actions • Execute upgrades and modifications to existing systems • Provide technical support and training to customers (scientists, lab technicians, engineers) • Act as the primary technical contact for assigned accounts • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through professional service delivery • Maintain detailed service documentation and reports • Manage service schedules, parts inventory, and travel planning • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards • Collaborate with internal teams (R&D, technical support, sales) to resolve issues • Support remote diagnostics and digital service tools • Identify recurring issues and suggest product/service improvements • Participate in technical training to stay current with new technologies • Share knowledge and best practices within the service organization

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in: Electrical Engineering • Mechanical Engineering • Physics or Applied Physics • Mechatronics or related field • 2–5+ years of experience in field service, preferably with: Confocal microscopy • Analytical instruments or lab equipment • Strong knowledge of: Electronics and electromechanical systems • Imaging systems and optics • Software System set up • Ability to read schematics and technical manuals • Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware and software systems • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills • Strong communication and customer-facing abilities • Ability to work independently in remote environments • Willingness to travel extensively (up to 70–80%) • Valid driver’s license • Ability to work in laboratory and cleanroom environments
