• Serve as a strategic leader on the financial systems team • Lead focus on the Finance Data Warehouse tool and continuous improvement • Collaboration with various functional areas within the Company such as Finance, Actuarial, Operations, and Information Technology • Responsible for collaboration with dedicated finance product launch team • Develop business relationships to provide reporting support and guidance • Work towards continuous improvement, innovation, and enhanced operational efficiencies • Report to AVP of the Financial Systems team and manage a team of analysts • Contribute to successful execution of projects associated with finance and actuarial modernization • Identify opportunities for process improvement based on defined objectives • Collaborate with cross-functional teams in the execution of projects • Provide technical knowledge for the launch of new insurance products • Work with data strategy/governance for compliance with company standards • Advise on testing plans and adherence to compliance • Prepare or review modifications to FDR configurations, mapping tables, file layouts, etc. • Analyze complex problems and provide solutions for execution • Assist with internal and external auditors' requests and ad hoc projects related to financial operations
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance or relevant experience • Minimum 8 years of experience in financial systems or IT role • Minimum 8 years of experience in life insurance or financial services industry • Experience with GAAP and Statutory life insurance accounting principles preferred • Ability to leverage experience for system and process improvements • Strong interpersonal skills for communication and collaboration • Strong computer knowledge with financial accounting packages • Ability to interpret information and prioritize workload • Highly motivated, self-starter with a high energy level • Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment • Demonstrated track record of process improvements • Managerial confidence • Embraces and demonstrates company's cultural values
