• Break-down complex problems for other Engineers • Projects/initiatives related to Security, scaling distributed systems, user management, new verticals, engagement features, scaling traffic/imports/exports, managing APIs • Help scale company in headcount/workforce and technology • Work cross-functionally across Engineering and Product Management • Mentor junior engineers • Deliverables: (30 days) Own a feature; (60 days) Own and drive a new initiative; (90 days) Bring initiative to production

Requirements

• Software development experience of 4+ years • Expert proficiency in Ruby (Mandatory) • SaaS/Internet company background: web-based, hosted on Heroku or AWS • Experience in Agile and Scrum environment • Desired experience: Redis, Memcache, Redshift, Kafka, RabbitMQ, Hadoop, Microservices, Aws lambda, kinesys • Startup experience desired • Learn quickly, adaptable, versatile • Experienced as a mentor • Track-record of achievements impacting team(s) and company(ies)
