Description

• Designing, developing and maintaining core system features, services and engines • Collaborating with a cross functional team to realize the requirements of a conversational social robotics platform • Ensuring optimized backend infrastructure for scale and responsiveness • Introducing new ideas, products, and features • Operating in an Agile/Scrum environment to deliver high-quality software

Requirements

• Proficiency in distributed application development lifecycle, programming techniques, and tools • Proficiency in Linux-based operating systems • Proficiency in at least one server-side programming language like Java • Proficiency in at least one server-side framework like Spring or Java Spark • Proficiency in using ORM/Data access frameworks like Hibernate or JPA • Proficiency in at least one data serialization framework • Proficiency in at least one inter-process communication framework • Proficiency in multithreaded programming and Concurrency concepts • Experience defining system architectures and exploring technical feasibility tradeoffs • Experience developing cloud software services and understanding design for scalability, performance, and reliability • Good understanding of networking and communication protocols • Proficiency in concepts of monolithic and microservice architectural paradigms • Proficiency in working on at least one cloud hosting platform like AWS or Google Cloud • Proficiency in at least one database SQL or NoSQL • Proficiency in at least one testing framework or tool • Proficiency in at least one RPC communication framework • Proficiency in asynchronous libraries or frameworks • Proficiency in functional programming languages • Proficiency in working with NoSQL or graph databases • Proficient understanding of code versioning tools • Working knowledge of tools for server, application metrics logging and monitoring • Working knowledge of DevOps containerization utilities • Working knowledge of DevOps containerization technologies • Working knowledge of container orchestration platform
