Software Engineer

• As an Engineer for the Developer Experience team, you will be a subject matter expert on the mechanics of our development platform. You will be a champion for code quality; local test and build reliability; and developer empowerment.
• Work closely with our CI/CD Team to ensure “it works on my machine” translates to “it works on everyone’s machine”.

• Work across a number of competitive game modes that cater to a broad selection of players and play styles and understand how they will approach, progress through, and master each one

• Be aware of how your game design impacts the player experience, including matchmaking; implement game mode features, playtest to gain insights, and iterate, owning the design from conception to post-release

Product Manager

• Lead development of gameplay capabilities that define Hytale’s universal feel and ensure that they support the needs of multiple game modes and future experiences to come
• Partner with tech leadership to establish a compelling vision and strategy for Hytale’s Core Gameplay systems
• Deliver critical gameplay capabilities that enable developers and content creators to ship great experiences to players

• Overseeing the quality bar and execution of the broader Encounter team
• Composing engaging gameplay challenges and events through a balance of NPC behaviours, level design, and narrative elements that engage and delight players
• Researching, prototyping, and refining the implementation of workflows, content systems, and tools that ease the creation and management of encounter content
• Working with systems and game design to balance encounters across the game, both in their difficulty and in the systems driving their distribution
