Description

• We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Engineer to join our team. As a Senior Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and implementing data-driven solutions that leverage advanced analytics and machine learning techniques, with an emphasis on creating, running, and maintaining data models. You will collaborate closely with product, software engineers, and business stakeholders to design, build, and deploy scalable and robust data science models and applications. Your work will play a crucial role in driving ALEX’s recommendation engine forward.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience developing full-stack web applications • Proficiency coding in Ruby on Rails and/or Python • Prior exposure to modern front-end frameworks like React, Vue, or AngularJS • Understanding of relational databases (experience writing raw SQL is a bonus) • Proven experience as a Data Science Engineer or in a similar role, with a focus on developing and deploying data science models and applications • Strong programming skills in languages such as Python or R, with experience in data manipulation, statistical analysis, and machine learning • Solid understanding of data preprocessing, feature engineering, and model evaluation techniques • Strong knowledge of machine learning algorithms and techniques, including supervised and unsupervised learning, deep learning, and natural language processing • Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities, with the ability to always be curious • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and present complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders
