Description

• Process screenings for background checks using in-house and third-party vendors and technologies with screenings in categories such as identity, criminal, employment, education, licenses/certificates, occupational health, and more. Engage with clients and candidates to ensure swift, accurate, and user-friendly completion of background checks and compliance verifications, maintaining a seamless experience throughout. Coordinate with vendors and partners to retrieve information accurately and on time. Apply knowledge of the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) to ensure compliance with legal requirements and industry standards. Handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism, maintaining the highest standards of integrity and ethical conduct. Interpret court dockets to extract relevant information crucial for background checks Utilize understanding of search scope to optimize search capabilities and provide value-added services to clients, enhancing overall satisfaction and outcomes. Analyze disposition codes and outcomes obtained from criminal record searches, identifying key details such as convictions, dismissals, or pending charges to inform decision-making accurately. Respond promptly and courteously to inquiries from customers and candidates and address concerns or assist on time.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2+ years of experience in background checks or related startup industries demonstrating a solid grasp of screening procedures • 3+ years of relevant professional work experience in customer service and/or technical support • Familiarity with FCRA; FCRA Accreditation a plus • Strong writing and communication skills, and comfortable communicating in a remote setting • Self-motivated and adaptable to dynamic work environments, capable of managing shifting priorities and deadlines as is common in a startup environment • Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required
