• Collaborate with other SREs and engineering teams to design and deploy our hybrid cloud and on-premises infrastructure • Maintain a keen eye for detail, leverage critical thinking skills, and effectively troubleshoot complex issues • Actively identify infrastructural risks and work towards managing those risks, while maintaining flexibility and developer velocity • Participate in on-call rotations to provide support for applications, infrastructure, and systems
• Linux Administration 5+ years of experience administering Linux production environments 3+ years of experience with at least one primary programming language 3+ years of experience with infrastructure-as-code provisioning and configuration management tools (Chef, SaltStack, Terraform, Ansible) Strong understanding of shell scripting and task automation • Infrastructure and Cloud 3+ years of experience working with AWS services (EC2, S3, VPC) 3+ years of experience working with production VMs 3+ years experience with containers (Docker, containerd) and container orchestration technologies (Kubernetes, AWS ECS, Docker compose) Experience in on-premises or collocated datacenter environments Experience with CI/CD systems (Jenkins, Github Actions) • Other Experience with database administration tasks including installation, maintenance, backup, recovery, performance tuning, replication management, monitoring, and development of best practices Deep understanding of web fundamentals – HTTP, load balancing, REST, CDNs, etc. Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and system optimization skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment with evolving priorities • Preferred Experience administering and networking a KVM/QEMU VM environment Experience with networking protocols (BGP, OSPF, etc.), and switch gear/firewalls (Cisco ASA, Palo Alto, etc.) Experience administering a time-series database, particularly InfluxDB
