Description

• Act as the technical subject matter expert to ensure technical capabilities align with our Product team • Determine and develop pragmatic and achievable refactoring initiatives • Ensure team alignment and mitigate possible risks and dependencies • Lead code reviews and set best practices for codebase growth • Run knowledge transfer and lunch & learn sessions to foster a healthy engineering culture

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent • 10+ years experience in an engineering-driven product organization, with 2+ years leading complex technical initiatives • Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in JavaScript, TypeScript, and NodeJS • Strong knowledge running production grade APIs in a cloud native environment (AWS) • Strong knowledge in DynamoDB • Excellent communication skills, the ability to lead technical discussions • Experience with ExpressJs, NestJS (an asset) • Experience with Python (an asset) • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes and related container technologies (an asset) • Specifically knowledge of running APIs on ECR/EKS (an asset) • Android or Progressive WebApp experience (an asset)
