Description

• Prepare grant proposals and reports for FPF's projects and programs • Assist with major donor support and prospective research • Communicate FPF's mission to potential funders • Write proposals and reports for grant opportunities • Review and maintain grant agreements • Write correspondence and support materials with donors • Conduct research for new funding opportunities • Manage deadlines, multiple projects, and competing priorities • Work independently in a home office or virtual environment • Proficiency in Google Suite, Microsoft Office, Salesforce • Strong interest in press freedom and First Amendment rights

Requirements

• At least 2-3 years of writing experience in a nonprofit organization or journalism • Knowledge of grant application and writing process • Ability to write about complex topics in a clear manner • Experience in researching and soliciting foundations • Ability to work effectively in a virtual setting • Proficiency in Google Suite, Microsoft Office, and Salesforce • Keen interest in press freedom and First Amendment rights
