Description

• Vouch is a technology-first insurance company creating business insurance for high-growth companies • Virtual First Workplace with office locations in San Francisco, Chicago, and New York City • Main goals of the role include integration of underwriting processes with system upgrades, efficiency in underwriting operations, and consistency in underwriting practices • Responsible for leading Underwriting Enablement initiatives within the Operations Services team • Collaborate with engineering, product, and design teams to integrate underwriting systems with other platforms • Identify areas for process improvement within underwriting workflows and implement solutions • Develop training for underwriters to support transition to new tools • Facilitate effective communication and collaboration between underwriting and other departments • Improve the ease of use and consistency of underwriting guidelines

Requirements

• 3+ Years of proven experience in underwriting operations with a focus on technology enablement and process improvement • 2+ Years of underwriting experience within Commercial Lines or Specialty Underwriting • Familiarity with underwriting systems, automation tools, and emerging technologies in the insurance industry • Proficient in simplifying complex issues to boost productivity • Keen attention to detail when optimizing systems and procedures • Demonstrated ability to motivate change management efforts and foster a culture of continuous improvement • Ability to work cross-functionally with technical teams to develop system enhancement specifications • Strong communication skills tailored to different audiences in the business • Analytical skills to prioritize underwriting processes • Comfort dealing with ambiguity and maintaining composure in complex situations • Highly self-motivated with ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment • Passion for early-stage startups and high-growth environments • Nice to have: Project management or product management experience
