📋 Description

• Support the Senior Associate Director of Development for Latin America in achieving the raised-for goal of US $40M and the goal of doubling philanthropic revenue by 2030 • Engage Relationship Managers, Business Units, Divisions, and other Regions in discovering, cultivating, and stewarding international prospects and donors with capacity to give over US $100,000 to TNC’s work in Latin America • Support donor and leadership engagement opportunities in Belize, Guatemala, and Mexico, including donor meetings, donor trips, in-person donor events, and leadership visits • Project manage internal review processes for solicitations and gifts at local, regional, and global levels • Draft personalized donor correspondence, including proposals, stewardship notes, and reports, with the Donor Communications team • Support the design and implementation of collaborative, complex, and diversified fundraising projects • Coordinate the work of other development professionals and ensure accountability • Use TNC’s donor database to update donor information, produce reports, perform analysis, and track and cultivate donors • Convey TNC’s mission persuasively to diverse groups • Reinforce travel and event policies and procedures to ensure consistent donor engagement and minimize organizational risk • Ensure compliance with TNC policies, procedures, and donor, legal, and IRS requirements • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive and emotionally charged information • Travel domestically and/or internationally frequently and on short notice

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and 3 years related experience or equivalent combination • Experience building and maintaining long-term relationships with donors, volunteers, and staff • Experience understanding an individual’s interests, capacity, and potential for helping TNC meet its goals, and acting appropriately to tie those interests with TNC’s work • Experience generating reports and analysing and interpreting data • Experience and ability to work across departments and multiple teams • Experience, coursework, or other training in fundraising principles and practices • Fluency in English and Spanish • Multi-cultural or cross-cultural experience • Strong project management skills, including coordinating activities led by others and managing deadlines • Familiarity with the Latin America Region (desired qualification) • Willingness and ability to travel domestically and/or internationally frequently and on short notice, work long hours, and weekends as needed • Successful completion of The Nature Conservancy’s background screening process
