Description

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger entries, and expense reports • Assist in coordinating annual budget templates and other information in collaboration with the finance team and department heads • Coordinate with program managers to ensure compliance with grant funding requirements, including tracking expenses, preparing financial reports, and assisting with grant proposal budgets • Assist in the preparation and coordination of annual financial audits and tax filings, providing necessary documentation and responding to auditor inquiries • Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and internal policies and procedures • Assist with payroll processing, calculating payroll taxes, and ensuring timely and accurate disbursement of wages • Participate in special projects and initiatives as assigned Senior Director of Finance, contributing to the overall success of the finance department and organization

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred • At least 2+ years of experience in accounting or finance in a non-profit setting is required • Experience and familiarity with grant or fund accounting • High proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Intacct, Bill.com, NetSuite) • Proficient abilities in Microsoft & Excel • Strong understanding of GAAP and non-profit accounting principles • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and trends • Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy and integrity in financial reporting • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment as well with other organizational departments • Commitment to the mission and values of the organization
