📋 Description

• Undertake site measures on live and occupied sites • Produce 3D models and complete shop drawing sets, including general arrangements, assembly drawings, single-part drawings, DXF files, IFC models and cutting lists • Interpret architectural, structural and services drawings and identify clashes before fabrication • Raise Requests for Information, maintain the RFI register and chase outstanding answers • Check transport envelopes and flag over-dimension assemblies • Manage drawing registers, revisions and issue logs using client title block standards • Issue and track drawings through Procore and the head contractor's systems • Correspond directly with engineers where required • Coordinate with the Fabrication Manager, Project Manager, Quantity Surveyor and Site Team Leaders on constructability, sequence and fit • Support site crews in resolving fit-up issues and design clashes during fabrication and erection

🎯 Requirements

• Proven structural steel detailing experience on projects that have been built • Working proficiency in a 3D structural detailing package; the client runs Tekla Structures, and strong detailers from another package will be considered with time allowed to convert • Sound understanding of steel fabrication and erection, including fit-up, weld access, bolt access, lifting points and erection sequence • Ability to deal directly and confidently with engineers and head contractor project staff • Strong attention to detail and judgement to raise a query rather than assume • Ability to work to fixed approval and fabrication dates across several concurrent jobs • Site measures on live and occupied sites, including trading supermarkets, working at height, and occasional after-hours or night-shift work • Experience with Tekla Structures preferred • Experience of New Zealand codes and standards desirable • Seismic strengthening and remediation experience desirable • Compliance with the client's health and safety requirements, including when on site
