• Research, compile and evaluate information for development and maintenance of complex systems • Design systems and support processes that meet customer requirements • Construct, modify, and test system changes • Develop and test data conversion processes • Diagnose and provide quality solutions to problems • Provide thorough documentation for programming changes • Understand customer business needs and provide quality support • Proactively suggest process improvements • Manage individual tasks on projects • Provide feedback to peers, support areas, and management

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in related field and minimum 10 years of work experience in life insurance and annuity administration systems • Extensive annuity and life insurance product knowledge required • Minimum 8 years of coding experience in relevant systems • Minimum 8 years of experience in COBOL, Assembler, or object-oriented programming • Minimum 5 years of experience in life insurance administration system development • Minimum 5 years of experience with policy administration ancillary systems and interfaces • Minimum 5 years of debugging and modifying life insurance administration systems • Minimum 5 years of experience working with database and mainframe data structures • Proven experience in Java development and other object-oriented programming languages • Familiarity with administration system data structures and access methods
