Description

• We are continuing to invest and grow our Cloud Engineering team at Redpanda. We are looking for a Cloud Software Engineer who is up for the challenge to not only build the systems but to lift Redpanda into the public cloud space, but also shape the technical culture that creates these systems. There are exciting challenges to solve and opportunities to learn from the very best. Come join us to partner closely with the product and cross-functional engineering teams to build and design together, the very best present and future of real-time data. • About the Role: You will work with all the engineering teams on building new services to be deployed across all of our supported clouds. You will automate the infrastructure lifecycle on Kubernetes and monitor our services with the goal of offering a reliable, scalable, and high-performance SaaS

Requirements

• Expert knowledge of at least one: AWS, Azure, GCP • Strong understanding of Go and Kubernetes in production • Experience with Terraform and managing infrastructure as code • Experience building SaaS products • Willingness to participate in on-call rotation • Comfortable working with 100% distributed engineering team • Experience managing infrastructure predictably through GitOps and IaC. Note that this is not a pure "devops" role; you will need more than scripting experience in order to qualify • Excellent written communication skills • Nice to have: Experience building and operating an IaaS platform • Operated and used streaming platforms either as a user or provider • Cloud engineering experience

Benefits

• U.S. base salary range for this role is $185,000 - $218,000 (CA, NY, WA) and $177,000 - $208,000 (other US locations). Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. As a remote-first company, we strive to consider each candidate's job-related skills, location, experience, relevant education or training to determine individual base salary.
