Description

• WASM and performance expert needed to incorporate WASM into Redpanda • Ensure core tenets of low latency and maximizing performance hold true • Work closely with team members to create the best data streaming platform, driving key business metrics through various offerings • Collaborate with different functions at Redpanda to deliver solutions to challenging distributed systems problems • Help shape Redpanda's future while learning and growing professionally

Requirements

• Substantial relevant experience of at least 5 years in a professional role • Strong understanding and experience in C++ (ideally modern C++17 or C++20) • Proficiency in at least one other modern programming language (e.g., Rust, Go, Typescript, Javascript) • Prior experience in working on deeply technical projects • Cross-functional teamwork experience in a technical leadership role • Experience with compilers, virtual machines, or embedding language runtimes in high-performance environments • Desire to further develop skills in building scalable and performant systems • Pride in writing robust, well-abstracted code • Experience or desire to work with a 100% distributed engineering team • Excellent written communication skills

Benefits

• U.S. base salary range for this role is $218,000 - $248,000 (CA, NY, WA) and $208,000 - $237,000 (other US locations) • Remote-first company • Consideration of job-related skills, location, experience, and relevant education or training for determining individual base salary • Specific salary range to be shared during the hiring process
