Description

• Work with team members across all engineering departments, to add instrumentation to existing and new codebases • Create data pipelines using in-house and GCP tools, to asynchronously move large amounts of data in a maintainable and monitorable fashion • Transform data in ELT processes, by using DBT to leverage the functionality of the database • Perform data analysis and create visualizations and dashboards for parties across the company • Assist in the management of resources and services like the data warehouse, dash boarding tools, and legacy ETL services

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience with application development in Python, Typescript or Javascript • 5+ years of experience in a Software Engineering or Data Engineering role • A strong understanding of analytical SQL and the knowledge of how to best use it with OLAP and OLTP data stores • A post-secondary degree or diploma in Computer Science, Statistics, Informatics, Information Systems or another quantitative field or relevant experience • Experience with cloud computing (AWS, GCP or Azure) and familiarity with cloud data warehouse platforms (Bigquery, Snowflake, Redshift, etc.) • A solid understanding of data driven services in asynchronous environments • A history of manipulating, processing and extracting value from large datasets • A curiosity for exploratory data analysis and continuous learning • The ability to work with people across the company
