R Developer (Contract)

Description
• Develop and implement data analysis workflows, statistical models, and algorithms using R programming language • Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and other teams to understand data requirements and translate them into effective R-based solutions • Create interactive data visualizations and reports using R packages such as ggplot2, shiny, and R Markdown • Perform data cleansing, transformation, and preprocessing using R's data manipulation libraries • Participate in the design and execution of machine learning and predictive modeling projects using R • Optimize and refactor R code for efficiency, performance, and maintainability • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate R-based solutions into larger data ecosystems • Stay updated with the latest developments in R programming and data science techniques
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field • 3+ years of hands-on experience in R programming and development • Proficiency in creating and optimizing R scripts, functions, and packages • Solid understanding of data manipulation, transformation, and visualization using R • Experience with statistical analysis, hypothesis testing, and modeling in R • Familiarity with machine learning libraries in R, such as caret, randomForest, or xgboost • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions • Effective communication skills to collaborate within interdisciplinary teams • Knowledge of other programming languages and data analysis tools is a plus • Relevant certifications in R programming, data science, or related areas are advantageous
