• As a Senior Data Scientist at Scope3, your role involves collecting, analyzing, and interpreting large datasets to inform business decisions and drive product innovation. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, you will identify opportunities for leveraging data to drive solutions. You will also partner with engineers and own data projects from conception to scale, embodying a passion for data-driven decision-making, a bias towards action, and the ability to thrive autonomously. Strong analytical skills are crucial for the role, but also the ability to recognize that simple can sometimes be best. • Develop statistical models and algorithms to extract or predict meaningful information. • Continuously evaluate and enhance models to ensure accuracy and relevance. • Clean, preprocess and analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights. • Own end-to-end data science projects, from robust data pipelines to scalable model deployment. • Collaborate with data engineers to continuously evolve the data development infrastructure. • Fuel data-driven product innovation and thought leadership. • Communicate findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders in a clear and actionable manner. • Mentor and guide junior team members, fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing. • Stay updated on industry trends and apply new knowledge to enhance processes.
• Several years of experience working independently at a senior level. • BS or advanced degree in fields ranging from mathematics, engineering, to economics. • Proven track record of successfully applying statistical techniques to real-world problems. • Advanced proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R. • Strong SQL proficiency, and experience with relational and non-relational databases. • Experience with collaborative cloud notebooks for data science. • Experience with data development tools like dbt or similar is a plus. • Experience collaborating closely with product managers and data engineers, and coordinating with cross-departmental stakeholders to ensure consistent and top-tier quality for all deliverables.
