Description

• Design, implement, and improve the cloud infrastructure at Scythe • Work with teammates to build a rich understanding of product needs and bring ideas to life • Provision AWS assets and resources using Terraform • Implement security policies and organize AWS IAM • Monitor cloud infrastructure performance, reliability, and budget • Be a source of expertise regarding best practices related to cloud infrastructure • Assess and implement encryption on assets in the cloud • Assist teammates with third-party integration needs • Collaborate in a fast-paced, self-managed engineering environment

Requirements

• Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible for provisioning and managing cloud resources. • Scripting languages such as Python and Bash for automating tasks and infrastructure management • CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or ArgoCD for automating software delivery processes. • Networking principles including TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, Load Balancing, and Firewall configuration in cloud environments. • Knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker • Experience standing up and managing container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes • Experience provisioning and managing cloud-based database services such as Amazon RDS, Azure SQL Database, or Google Cloud SQL, as well as NoSQL databases like DynamoDB, Cosmos DB, or Bigtable
