📋 Description

• Own backend features for AI-powered educator tools: architecture, implementation, deployment, observability. • Design and build data ingestion and transformation pipelines. • Build and evolve APIs that serve learning insights and AI-generated content. • Integrate LLM capabilities into the product. • Use agentic coding tools as part of your daily workflow. • Write specs, ADRs, and context docs. • Ship features with Flutter engineers, PM, and designer. • Find ways to automate repetitive engineering work with AI.

🎯 Requirements

• 7+ years of backend development on production systems. • Strong Node.js/TypeScript and GCP fundamentals (Firestore, BigQuery, Spanner, Cloud Functions, Pub/Sub). • Experience with both NoSQL and SQL databases. • You already use AI coding tools daily. • Systems thinking. • Clear, async-first communication. • Nice to have: Experience putting LLMs into production, background in ed-tech, experience with event-driven architectures, infrastructure-as-code (Terraform), product trio experience, hands-on Spanner experience.
