📋 Description

• Review construction drawings, specifications, and bid documents. • Perform detailed quantity takeoffs from plans and blueprints. • Analyze architectural, structural, civil, MEP, and finish schedules. • Prepare accurate cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors. • Identify project scope, inclusions, exclusions, and potential risks. • Request and evaluate subcontractor and supplier pricing. • Prepare and submit bid proposals before deadlines. • Track bid opportunities and maintain bid calendars. • Communicate with project managers, contractors, vendors, and clients regarding bid requirements. • Review addendums and update estimates as required. • Assist with value engineering and cost-saving recommendations. • Maintain estimating databases, pricing libraries, and bid records. • Generate bid summaries, scope sheets, and proposal documents. • Participate in pre-bid meetings and project hand-off discussions when awarded.

🎯 Requirements

• 2+ years of construction estimating experience. • Strong ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications. • Experience performing material takeoffs and quantity surveys. • Knowledge of commercial and residential construction methods. • Understanding of architectural, structural, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and interior finish systems. • Proficiency with estimating software such as: PlanSwift, Bluebeam Revu, STACK, ProEst, Buildertrend, Microsoft Excel. • Strong mathematical and analytical skills. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in American English. • Ability to manage multiple bids and meet strict deadlines. • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
